Cuisine American
- 1 sirloin steak
- 2-3 carrots chopped
- 1 packet of dark gravy flavour mix
- 1 cup water
- spaghetti
- edam cheese grated
- salt and pepper to taste
Add the chopped carrots to the pressure cooker with the sirloin steak on top.
Mix the dark gravy flavour packet with 1 cup of water and pour it over the steak and carrots.
Close the lid of the pressure cooker and set it to high pressure for 20-30 minutes, or until the steak is cooked to your liking.
While the steak is cooking, bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil and cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Once the steak is cooked, let the pressure release naturally before opening the lid.
Serve the steak and carrots with the rich dark gravy over the top of the cooked spaghetti.
Sprinkle grated Edam cheese over the top.
Tips and Variations:
- Use your favourite type of steak or adjust the cooking time to your liking. This would still work well with chicken or pork.
- Add some onions or garlic to the pressure cooker for extra flavour.
- Experiment with different flavour packets or spices to give the dish a unique taste.
- Try using different types of cheese, such as Parmesan or cheddar, for a different flavour profile.
- Top with fresh herbs like basil.
